At Waller Elementary, the safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. I would like to address a growing concern regarding morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. It has been observed that a growing number of students are being dropped off or picked up on the side of the road or in unauthorized areas rather than utilizing the designated carline. This creates significant safety hazards. In addition to our concern for student safety, an emergency vehicle struggled to make its way through the cars, parked on Patricia Drive, waiting for students being dismissed as walkers. The emergency vehicle was trying to get to an emergency call and was delayed as they were trying to get through. Finally, some residents in the neighborhood have expressed growing concerns about cars blocking their driveways and cars pulling into their driveways to turn around. If you drive your child to school or pick them up in the afternoons, please use the carline and refrain from parking on the side of the road. Thank you for your help in this matter.
