Good afternoon! After a briefing today with the National Weather Service and Bossier Parish emergency agencies, Bossier Schools will be open Thursday, January 9. However, the YEP program will be canceled and all extracurricular and after-school activities will be postponed until a later time.
We will continue to carefully monitor the forecast and provide an update at 4 p.m. Thursday regarding school operations on Friday.
Stay tuned for further information and remember, if you do not already have the Bossier Schools district app, this is a great time to download it so you will get updates from the district in real time. Here’s how to find it:

The Harrington House will be at EGE on Tuesday, January 14th to take class and club photos. Envelopes to order class pictures went home with students yesterday. Please send students with their club shirts. You can order them online by visiting https://bit.ly/3DNop8A

Bossier Schools is on winter weather watch for the next two days, closely monitoring the forecast with the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and staying in close contact with the National Weather Service. We are meeting again today and will provide an update at 3 p.m. this afternoon regarding any adjustments to Thursday’s school schedule.

Elm Grove Elementary Winter Awards Assemblies will be on January 10, 2025 in the gym. Grades 1-2 will be at 9 AM and Grades 3-5 will be at 12:30 PM. We hope to see you there!


EGE Gators - This Friday, December 13 will be a $2 Jeans day for all students to raise money for PBIS incentives and the technology fund. Students will need to bring their $2 to the library before school to get their sticker from Mrs. Ailstock.

Polar Pals Gift Shop will give your children the opportunity to shop for high quality gifts for friends and family in the secure atmosphere of our school. The program provides our children with an opportunity to make real life shopping decisions...plus they learn that giving is as important as receiving.
Gift items start at less than $1.00, with most in the $1.00 to $5.00 range. Students will visit Polar Pals Gift Shop December 4-6 during their enrichment. Please be on the lookout for more information when we return from Thanksgiving break.
